Job Description
Job Overview:
We are lokking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee financial operations within the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial management in the construction industry, with the ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, oversee bank credit and financing, and ensure compliance with regulations. The Financial Manager will play a key role in supporting the company's growth, ensuring profitability, and maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and manage the company’s annual budget, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Analyze construction project costs and ensure proper allocation of resources.
Evaluate the financial viability of new projects, including cost estimation, profitability analysis, and risk assessment.
Provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management to optimize financial performance.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for project needs and operational expenses.
Oversee invoicing and billing processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Implement cash management strategies to maintain positive cash flow and reduce the risk of financial shortfalls.
Bank Credit & Financing Management:
Manage and oversee the company’s bank credit facilities, including lines of credit, loans, and other financial products.
Negotiate terms and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable credit lines for the company.
Ensure timely repayment of loans and credit obligations.
Evaluate the need for additional credit facilities to support the company’s growth and project funding requirements.
Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements associated with credit facilities.
Projects Cost Control:
Monitor project budgets and financials, ensuring all costs align with estimates and milestones.
Work closely with project managers to track expenses and identify cost overruns, providing corrective action recommendations.
Perform periodic audits of financial records for construction projects and recommend improvements.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards specific to the construction industry.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and tax filings in accordance with local and national laws.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that all financial transactions are documented correctly.
Risk Management:
Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential impacts on project profitability.
Work with insurance providers to ensure that all projects are adequately insured.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Led and mentored the financial team, ensuring high standards of financial accuracy and timely reporting.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, legal, and procurement) to provide financial insight and support decision-making processes.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax preparation.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, related field.
CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
Experience:
from 12:15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 4 years Financial Manager in construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, contract management, and cost tracking.
Experience managing bank credit facilities and relationships with financial institutions.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of financial software
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of project management processes and budgeting within the construction industry.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
