Job Title: Structural Engineer – Marine Infrastructure
Location: Sheraton, Cairo
Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and support a range of marine infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, analyzing, and implementing infrastructure-related structures with a focus on marine environments. This position is vital for the successful delivery of both current and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, and oversee the implementation of structural elements for marine infrastructure projects, including ports, harbors, piers, and offshore structures.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design specifications in compliance with industry standards.
Perform structural analysis using CSI software (SAP2000, ETABS, etc.) and other relevant engineering tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of structural design with other project disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical).
Ensure all designs comply with Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and relevant SBC (Structural Building Code) guidelines.
Manage the coordination of design work with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Review and approve design and construction documents to ensure quality control.
Participate in site visits to monitor progress and address design-related issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, specifically in the design and implementation of marine infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in CSI software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, etc.) for structural analysis and design.
Expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows (Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
Strong knowledge of SBC standards and other industry-relevant codes for structural design in marine environments.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in teams.
