Senior Local Procurement Specialist

The key responsibilities of the job would be:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with local suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Ensure all procured products meet the required quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

What we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related pharmaceutical field is preferred.
- + 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of local pharmaceutical suppliers and market conditions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
