Abu Soma Development Company is hiring:

Design Manager.

Job Purpose:
Maintain the original concept of the design during all stages. Deliver tender documents complying to original design scope, on schedule and to proposed budget. Manage the technical design process from schematic phase through engineering to produce fully coordinated Tender Documents. Monitor the expected cost in comparison with the allowed budget (by Development). Assist construction team to resolve the technical design issues that arise on site.

Accountabilities:
· Manages the production of schematic design development and construction documents. According to schedule.
· Reviews consultant’s submissions including specifications, cost estimates and construction material recommendations submitted by outside architects to ensure adherence to concept and sales kit.
· Manages processes relating to the project's design to ensure that everything is delivered to concept, sales kit schedule and budget,
· Leads the entire design team throughout the design stages (Post Concept Design Stage)
· Communicates with all involved parties.
· Coordinates with all project’s stakeholders.
· Manages the project and architectural resource planning for the project and report project needs to senior team members. (Including coordination of pipeline works)
· Monitor and Facilitate initiatives to develop design manuals, standard design documents, presentations, etc. to increase efficiencies, knowledge, and awareness across the wider architectural community.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or the equivalent.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in equivalent position
· Previous experience with a reputable developer is a must.
· Previous experience with resort development and large residential communities in Egypt
· Good command with engineering software (Revit / AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup and Vray/Lumion)
· Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.
· Very good presentation skills
· Very good command of written and spoken English language.
· Very good MS office skills.
