El Hazek Construction is looking for
Contracts Engineer (4 Vacancies)
Of high caliber and sound contractual knowledge,
In site-based position at:
1 – Emaar Misr Belle Vie Infrastructure Works (Sheikh Zayed)
2 – Keeva Residential Buildings Phase 1 (6th of October City)
3 – Alexandria Station HSR (Borg El Arab)
4 – TMG Noor City (Cairo-Suez Road)

Responsibilities include:
– Shall be able to provide necessary contractual guidance and interpretation to the Project Manager to make an informed decision.
– Record events and analyze the contractual and legal impact.
– Draft contractual correspondences, Log and notice events to Employer and/or Engineer,
– Manage correspondence by analyzing all incoming correspondence and preparing all outgoing contractual correspondence.
– Prepare claims and variations and formulate the contractual and legal merit, prepare and manage all elements and materials for negotiation of claims and counterclaims.
– Follow-up on LGs, Insurance Policies.
– Attend weekly progress meetings, preconstruction meetings, variation meetings, and other project management meetings as required.
– Review Subcontractor’s contractual obligations such as Bank Guarantees, certificates of insurance, etc.
– Follow up on subcontractors’ adherence with Subcontract Provisions and making the necessary adjustments as applicable.
– Analysis claims submitted by subcontractors and counter them as required.
– Create, update and maintain all contract administration logs and issue contracts reports.
– Reports on Monthly Basis on the progress of his Main Activities.
– Provide recommendations and lessons learned for improving the contract administration and contract formation processes.

Qualifications and skills:
– B.Sc. (Civil or Arch.) #Engineering graduate.
– (2-3 years) of experience in contracts and claims in the Construction field.
– Proficient and fluent in English.
– Adept with the FIDIC suites of contracts (preferably FIDIC CONS 1999).
– Capable of drafting bilingual letters / claims/variations .
holder of CLAC Certificate.
– Skilled in MS Office.
– Delay analysis knowledge is a plus.
