Canal Sugar is recruiting a “ Senior Cost Accountant ” with
the below details:

– Job Summary:
Cost accountant help businesses by overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. They review services and goods, record data, and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.

– Job Description:
• Analyzes and costs manufacturing work orders following the company’s costing system.
• Prepares the monthly cost of sales figures by analyzing material, labor, and expenses.
• Assists the accounting manager in preparing monthly journal entries for the cost of sales and scrap.
• Maintains inventory system and follows established valuation method.
• Analyzing planned and actual BOM.
• Manage random, Monthly, and year-end physical inventory process.
• Reviews and audits the costs for purchased inventory.
• Analyze variances from cost estimates.
• Prepares report for accounting manager and recommends changes.
• Accumulate and analysis of cost information for internal use to aid management in planning, control, and decision making.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze monthly cost statements for every cost center.
• Provide internal and external auditing services with the required analyses.
• Conduct periodic cost studies to develop the standard cost of products manufactured.
• Apply cost accounting principles to provide detailed cost information not supplied by the general accounting systems.
• Monitor inventory control processes to validate inventory accuracy.
• Work with Purchasing department to analyze Obsolete and Excess inventory reserve requirements.
• Prepares periodical information and reports about the profitability of each Cost center and every customer or group.

– Qualifications/ Competencies:
• B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred)
• Must have Experience more than 5 years in Cost Accounting.
• Previous related experience in the Sugar industry.
• Familiar with ERP system.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong Communication skills.
