Accounts Payable Accountant

Mighty Foods is a company that works closely with premium food and beverage producers worldwide to bring their products to Egypt. We collaborate with local retailers and foodservice operators to deliver the finest food brands to our customers.

Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Payable Accountant located in New Cairo. The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the company's outgoing financial transactions, ensuring that payments to vendors and suppliers are processed accurately and timely. This role involves verifying invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support the financial health of Mighty Foods.

Key Responsibilities:
-Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process supplier invoices while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
-Payment Management: Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, wire transfers, and online banking transactions.
-Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
-Vendor Management: Maintain accurate supplier records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and outstanding balances.
-Expense Control: Monitor company expenses and ensure that costs align with budgetary guidelines.
-Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all financial records comply with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
-Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including AP aging reports and accruals.
-Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- (2+) years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably in the FMCG or food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
