Head of Design Management

This role is responsible for the overall management of the design function across the organization, including design management, design review, and document control teams. It involves setting vision and strategy, ensuring high-quality design execution, and fostering collaboration among various design disciplines.

Responsibilities:
1.Develop and implement a comprehensive design management vision and strategic objectives that align with the company's goals to enhance project efficiency.
2.Evaluate design processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
3.Approve the selection of external design firms and consultants, oversee the procurement process, and ensure they meet project criteria.
4.Work closely with the Design Management Director and Design Managers to ensure project alignment with design strategies.
5.Set and maintain high standards for design quality and compliance with company policies.
6.Implement review processes to ensure that design submissions are thoroughly assessed from a technical perspective to meet development expectations.
7.Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external designers to address and resolve design challenges promptly.
8.Coordinate with project stakeholders to assess design feasibility, budget, and resource allocation.
9.Oversee design reviews and ensure compliance with organizational standards by establishing checkpoints throughout the design phase.
Qualifications:
1-20+ years of experience with a proven success record in the same role.
2-Extensive experience in a senior design leadership role, with a track record of successful project outcomes.
3-Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or equivalent; Master’s degree highly desirable.
4-Strong project management skills and working knowledge of relevant architectural and engineering software.
