Position:- R&D Section Head
Location:- Wadi Houf (Near to Maadi)

> Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimize PVC compound formulations to improve product performance, focusing on foam boards.
* Conduct laboratory testing and analysis to assess compound properties and performance metrics.
* Evaluate new raw materials, additives, and stabilizers to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
* Identify and implement direct material (DM) cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to source alternative materials and suppliers.
* Perform feasibility studies and trials for cost-effective solutions.
* Work with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve compounding and extrusion challenges.
* Work with production teams to enhance the process capabilities. 
* Develop processes for improved dispersion and material distribution in multi-layer foam board structures.
* Lead initiatives to improve the mechanical, physical, and aesthetic properties of PVC foam boards.
* Ensure compliance with international quality standards and customer requirements.
* Maintain detailed records of experiments, results, and formulation modifications.
* Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
* Work cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, and sales teams to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
* Mentor and guide production team as needed.

> Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus.
* +5 years of experience in PVC compounding, preferably with exposure to foam board or similar products.
* Proven track record in R&D, formulation development, and cost optimization projects.
* Strong knowledge of PVC resin, plasticizers, fillers, stabilizers, and processing aids.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Team player with leadership capabilities.
* Very Good at English.
