Hyde Park Developments is currently hiring:
"Finishing Team Leader" Projects department.
Job purpose:
The Finishing Team Leader oversees and manages finishing tasks on construction projects, ensuring that all works meet design standards, quality benchmarks, and deadlines. This role involves coordinating team efforts, supervising on-site finishing activities, and maintaining effective communication between the workforce, subcontractors, and project management.
Responsibilities:
Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the finishing team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure efficiency and quality.
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of finishing work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and quality standards.
Work Scheduling: Plan daily and weekly schedules for finishing tasks, coordinating with site managers and other teams to maintain project timelines.
Material Management: Ensure finishing materials are used efficiently and are stored and handled correctly to prevent wastage or damage.
Problem Resolution: Address on-site issues related to finishing works, providing timely solutions to maintain workflow.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of finishing work with the overall construction process.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to project managers, detailing progress, quality checks, and any challenges encountered during finishing works.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in finishing works, including supervision or leadership roles in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
Skills and Competencies
Leadership: Strong ability to guide, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Attention to Detail: Keen focus on achieving precise and high-quality finishing results.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient understanding of finishing techniques, materials, and tools.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Quick and practical approach to resolving issues on-site.
Time Management: Capability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with basic project management tools and software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on luxury or high-rise projects.
Familiarity with sustainable and modern finishing practices.
