Purchasing Specialist - Marakez
Job Description
Reviews markets, price & delivery conditions, and trends to determine present and future materials availability.
Initiates requests for quotations against queries / requests received from users.
Receives and evaluates quotations.
Processes and releases Purchase orders on approved / specified vendors.
Makes sure that purchasing documents are completed properly and that the terms and conditions are appropriate.
Ensures regular and effective follow-up of open orders
Review supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and appropriateness and resolve any discrepancies and escalate if needed.
Follows policies and procedures established by the Manager and monitors activities of purchasing clerks
Processes purchase order claims and contracts as per the company policies.
Reviews weekly inventory trends and discuss variations with user staff.
Contacts suppliers / vendors when variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
Keeps an accurate records of price histories and problems in doing business with particular vendors.
Responsible for developing the company’s supplier database
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
A diploma in purchasing or supply chains is preferable.
Minimum of 4 years of experience.
Previous experience in North Coast is a must.
